Windsor Festival 2013 returns with a variety of enchanting events at the Theatre Royal Windsor


In a celebration of music, literature and the arts, the annual Windsor Festival will once again host an enchanting series of high quality events around Windsor’s finest venues. The highly respected arts festival will be located within and around the grounds of Windsor Castle, by kind permission of Her Majesty The Queen, from 16thSeptember - 29th September 2013.


This year, Windsor Festival presents a captivating lineup including a week of events at the prestigious Theatre Royal, ensuring that visitors will certainly not be deprived of choice and will be delighted with first-class entertainment. Highlights of the programme include:



On Monday, 16th September 2013 at 8pm: Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain

On Tuesday, 17th September 2013 at 8pm: Tim Brooke-Taylor at the Theatre Royal in conversation with broadcaster Chris Serle - best known for his work as a reporter on That’s Life with Esther Rantzen - sharing anecdotes and film clips from a career spanning over 50 years.

On the 18th of September 2013 at 8pm: Viva Verdi! - An evening of passion, drama and humour awaits you as the Theatre Royal celebrates the bi-centenary of Giuseppe Verdi’s birth in 1813.


On Thursday 20th September 2013 8pm: Charles Moore Margaret Thatcher's chosen journalist and political commentator to write her authorized biography, on condition it would not be published in her lifetime. The Windsor Festival now has a rare opportunity to hear from a biographer in a particularly unusual position. Charles was granted full access to all of Margaret Thatcher’s personal and government papers and interviews with those who worked most closely with her, in the knowledge that this information would never be read by Lady Thatcher herself. Described as “a triumph of diligence” and “a masterly piece of work,” Margaret Thatcher: The Authorized Biography promises to be a night to remember.
